J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is expanding in Mexico, the company said this week. The Arkansas-based truckload, logistics, and intermodal company said its J.B. Hunt Mexico, S.C., subsidiary has opened an enterprise branch in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico—the first of its kind in the country.
The office will provide a hybrid of services, consolidating sales, operations, and customer support for intermodal and highway services into one centralized location in Mexico, company leaders said. J.B. Hunt has done business in Mexico for more than 25 years and has a presence in Mexico City, Guadalajara, San Luis Potosi, and Monterrey, the company also said.
"We wanted to create something that was truly unique for Mexico, and this new office provides a hybrid of services that will help us better serve our customers and grow our client base," Shelley Simpson, executive vice president, chief commercial officer, and president of highway services at J.B. Hunt, said in a statement announcing the new location. "We're excited to join the rapidly growing business community in QuerTétaro."
The Querétaro office is J.B. Hunt's 45th enterprise sales branch, the company said.
