Texas-based industrial logistics systems provider Bourque Logistics said Friday it will open a new office in Jacksonville, Fla., increasing its presence in the southeast and northeast regions.
The Jacksonville office will provide expanded business development and customer support for Bourque's clients—who are rail shippers—by deploying a staff of rail logistics specialists, according to Bourque, which is based in the Houston region.
Founded to offer services to Gulf Coast chemical shippers, Bourque has expanded over time to add employees such as logistics software engineers, rail expediting and maintenance specialists, and support staff.
In another recent move, the company's international arm, Tank and Container Management Services (TCMS), is expanding its office in Bucharest, Romania, and has opened a facility in Singapore, the firm said. The new offices will support the division's services in international tank, container, bulk shipping bags, and cylinder logistics, Bourque said.
