Freight brokerage company GlobalTranz Enterprises Inc. has launched an enterprise freight management platform that could help shippers, carriers, and freight agents to manage capacity constraints and respond to changing market dynamics, the company said Tuesday.
Phoenix-based GlobalTranz said its new GTZrave product is designed to align shippers, carriers, and freight agents for more efficient and effective movement of freight. The software platform will complement GlobalTranz' services in less-than-truckload (LTL), full-truckload, third-party logistics (3PL), and expedited shipping services, the company said.
The move comes less than a year after GlobalTranz spun off the logistics software startup 10-4 Systems Inc. into the turbulent "Uber for trucking" sector. 10-4 Systems provides a trucking fleet management app that automates the data exchange among carriers, brokers, and shippers, matching trucks with shipper loads and supporting real-time supply chain visibility. https://www.dcvelocity.com/articles/20160629-10-4-systems-lands-139-million-funding/
GTZrave users will be able to connect with each other in real time for more agile freight movement; ship freight of all kinds while keeping visibility over shipments; manage details from carrier selection to customer delivery from a single interface; and improve freight management operations through process automation and data-driven analytics, according to GlobalTranz.
"GlobalTranz has quietly been delivering some of the most innovative and effective technology solutions for managing freight," GlobalTranz CTO Greg Carter said in a release. "The GTZrave platform capitalizes on that foundation and brings a whole new level of integration, visibility, and collaboration to the freight brokerage market. GTZrave has the power to transform how shippers communicate with carriers and how freight agents manage their operations."
