A number of transportation and logistics service companies probably have been feeling pretty special since Fortune magazine released its 2013 "World's Most Admired Companies" report. The annual list includes two parcel carriers and two airlines in the top 50 rankings. Several other transportation and logistics companies earned accolades as well.
Southwest Airlines ranked number 7, and FedEx Corp. took the number 10 spot. Competitor UPS was number 30, followed by Singapore Airlines at number 31.
Union Pacific ranked highest among trucking, transportation, and logistics companies for the third consecutive year. Other familiar names on Fortune's list included CSX, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Expeditors International of Washington, Ryder System, Deutsche Post DHL, Delta Airlines, Lufthansa Group, Cathay Pacific Airways, Air France-KLM Group, and United Continental Holdings.
