An organization of transportation marketing professionals is once again expanding its reach and marking the step with a new name.
As of January 11, the Transportation Marketing and Communications Association becomes the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association. The group began life in 1924 as an association of railroad marketing professionals.
In a press release, the group says that the name change reflects a shift in its strategic direction. This shift began last year when the organization made an effort to serve transportation sales professionals as well as its core marketing and communications members. It expects to phase in the branding of the new identity over the next six months.
The association will hold its annual conference from June 5-7 in San Diego. For more information visit www.tmcatoday.org.
