Con-way Freight, the less-than-truckload (LTL) unit of Con-way Inc., said it has expanded its year-old partnership with Caterpillar Logistics Services, the logistics division of Caterpillar Inc., to offer exclusive less-than-truckload service from a total of 27 states as well as to and from Mexico and Canada.
The expanded compact, which takes effect Monday, adds 16 states and Canada to the network, Con-way Freight said. Con-way Freight already served Cat Logistics to and from Mexico. The initial agreement between the two companies was signed in 2009.
Cat Logistics provides logistics services for its parent company as well as approximately 60 other customers, according to information on the Morton, Ill.-based logistics service provider's website.
