The company formerly known as USCO Logistics has been renamed Kuehne & Nagel Logistics for its parent company. At the same time, top management at the company has been restructured. The name change and management shifts are part of Kuehne & Nagel's integration of the Nagatuck, Conn., third-party logistics company into its U.S. organization. Kuehne & Nagel says the restructuring "streamlines U.S. international forwarding and contract logistics operations into a management structure that parallels Kuehne & Nagel operations globally."
One casualty of the changes: Robert R. Auray, who was president and CEO of USCO, has left the company. Dan DeSoto, formerly executive vice president, operations, assumes responsibility for U.S. contract logistics as managing director and executive vice president, reporting to Rolf Altorfer, president of Kuehne & Nagel Inc.
