There's still time to register for the remaining events in the ARC Advisory Group's second-quarter WeBíorum Series. WeBíorums are educational, online sessions that highlight recent ARC research findings, according to the consulting company. Each WeBíorum includes a presentation by an ARC senior analyst, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.

Programs scheduled for the second quarter include:

  • May 18, 11 a.m., Eastern Time: "Improving Plant Performance Through 'Design, Operate, Maintain (DOM) Interoperability.'" Sid Snitkin, an ARC vice president, will describe a new model for plant performance and examine the interdependencies among the model's three factors: Design, Operate and Maintain (DOM). The forum will outline the steps you can take to implement the DOM model and improve performance.
  • June 7, 11 a.m., Eastern Time: "Robotics: A Key Automation Technology." Like the creators of "The Jetsons," ARC sees the 21st century as the age of robotics, an era that will bring the technology into new industries. ARC Analyst Stefan Surpitski will provide information on the state of the robotics industry and offer guidance on selecting appropriate technology.
  • June 12, 11 a.m., Eastern Time: "Emerging Wireless Technologies in Manufacturing." Wireless technology is evolving rapidly. A forum led by Harry Forbes, an ARC senior analyst, will look at issues in deploying wireless technology in manufacturing.

For more information or to register for a forum, visit www.arcweb.com/events/weBíorums/weBíorum.htm.
