Transportation management provider Target Freight Management Inc. (TFM) has acquired freight auditing and payment service company National Traffic Service Inc. (NTS), the companies said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal expands Pittsburgh-based TFM's less-than-truckload, full truckload, and parcel freight management services business in the United States and Canada. NTS will operate as National Traffic Service Inc., a division of Target Freight Management.
"This acquisition considerably expands our client base, as well as our portfolio of proprietary technology, which helps us leverage our accumulated knowledge from both companies to better serve a wider variety of customers," TFM Founder and CEO Mike Wagner said in a statement announcing the deal.
NTS' 33 employees will remain at the division's Amherst, N.Y., office, which will be added to TFM's six other locations nationwide, the company said.
