Port Logistics Group opens Michigan office
Ypsilanti, Mich., location will focus on IT development and national customer service for the company's Whiplash e-commerce platform.
Los Angeles-based omnichannel logistics services provider Port Logistics Group has opened an office in Ypsilanti, Mich., dedicated to its Whiplash e-commerce platform, the company said Thursday.
Port Logistics acquired the Whiplash platform earlier this year with its purchase of Whiplash Merchandising, Inc., a move that expanded its direct-to-consumer fulfillment capabilities for small and mid-sized online retailers. The Whiplash solution provides online storefronts with real-time inventory, warehouse, and order management capabilities, including seamless integration with third-party shopping-cart platforms, the company said.
The Ypsilanti office will focus on IT development and national customer service and is led by Mark Dickson, Port Logistics Group's vice president of ecommerce technology.
