Intermodal shipping technology firm DrayNow Inc. has expanded its service into the New Jersey and greater New York market, the company said earlier this month.
Funded with support from investors, the expansion comes on the heels of DrayNow's entrance into Texas and Southern California in August. The Conshohocken, Pa.-based company has accelerated its growth plans since receiving $5 million in venture capital funding this summer, led by Comcast Ventures and Osage Venture Partners, the company said.
DrayNow operates an intermodal marketplace that connects brokers to available carriers. Third-Party Logistics (3PLs) firms, Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs), and brokers access the service through a desktop interface that allows users to view truck capacity in real-time, post loads, track load status and obtain electronic documents immediately, the company said.
