Warehouse managers can start planning for tomorrow today by signing up for the Warehousing Education and Research Council's (WERC) new "Mentoring Membership" program. WERC created this program as a way to help companies encourage highpotential employees to become warehouse and distribution managers.
These "young guns" can join WERC for a discounted annual fee of $150 as long as their managers are WERC members and have identified them as a protégé. In addition to the regular membership benefits, mentors and protégés will receive a copy of the WERC publication Mentoring Programs in DCs and will be able to interact with other program participants on WERC's online Human Resource roundtable. More information can be found at www.werc.org.
