The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) has announced several staff changes, effective this month: Gary Forger, a seasoned publishing professional best known for his tenure at Modern Materials Handling magazine, joins the staff as senior vice president of professional development. Forger, who most recently served as editorial director of the magazine, brings with him 30 years of journalism experience. In announcing the appointment, Chief Executive Officer John Nofsinger called Forger "a creative, strategic thinker with the ability to communicate vision and mission."
Nofsinger also announced the promotion of Mike Ogle to vice president of educational and technical services, Mike Laurent to vice president of finance and human resources, and Carol Miller to vice president of marketing and communications. Ray Niemeyer was appointed director of member services, and Victoria Wheeler was named director of meetings and executive assistant to the CEO.
"These changes are part of a strategic plan to position MHIA for continued growth and leadership as the leading association representing the material handling and logistics industry," Nofsinger said.
