It's not hard to find specialized instructional programs on specific aspects of supply chain management, but sessions that cover the gamut—from activity-based costing to picking zones—can be downright difficult to find. To fill that gap, supply chain gurus and DC VELOCITY columnists Ken Ackerman and Art Van Bodegraven have developed the "Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management" workshop.
Sponsored by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the workshop is designed to benefit attendees from a wide range of backgrounds. For professionals with specific functional experience, this workshop provides insight into the other aspects of the supply chain. For people who are new to the profession—at either the managerial or the operational level—the course will provide a broad introduction to the field.
