School may be out for the summer, but that's no excuse to let your brain rot. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) offers an extensive menu of 40 online courses through its CSCMP University. Topics include inventory management, supplier selection and management, product design, finance, fulfillment, labor scheduling, quality, supply chain planning, transportation, and warehousing. The self-directed classes can be taken at any time.
Course levels range from introductory classes such as "Effective Supply: Evaluating Potential Suppliers," to intermediate offerings like "Supply Chain Planning: Leading Practices," to advanced courses like "Cost/Price Minimization: Value Analysis/Value Engineering." Prices range from $79-$129 for CSCMP members; and from $86.90 to $141.90 for non-members.
These courses are offered in conjunction with the consulting firm Accenture's Supply Chain Academy. For more information, visit www.cscmp.org.
