The more people learn about RFID, the more questions they seem to have. To help clear up some of the confusion, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and ChainLink Research are offering a series of online seminars on various aspects of RFID.
Upcoming seminars include "RFID for Food, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics: Keep it Fresh; Keep it Safe," offered at 7 a.m. and again at noon Central time on May 16. This course focuses on how RFID and sensor technologies can be used to improve freshness and reduce counterfeiting.
On June 6 at 7 a.m. and again at noon Central time, the seminar will be "RFID and Barcodes: A Marriage Made in the Warehouse: Inbound and Outbound Management With RFID." The course covers management of inbound, warehouse, and outbound processes and how they are enhanced through RFID.
The final seminar in the series, "Managing the Global End-to- End Process With RFID," will take place on July 11, again at 7 a.m. and noon.
The seminar presenters are Ann Grakin, CEO of ChainLink Research; Bill McBeth, chief research officer for the firm; and Carla Reed, executive vice president of the company and head of its global logistics and distribution practice.
