What better time than the start of a new year to embark on a program of cutting logistics costs and trimming space requirements? From Jan. 31-Feb. 2, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and St. Louis University offer a certificate program in "lean" logistics. The course, "Logistics and Supply Chain Management Lean Six Sigma Certificate Training," takes place in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Led by Robert Martichencko, president of LeanCor LLC, the program is designed to teach participants how to plan and complete continuous improvement projects. Before the first day of training, participants will be asked to identify instances of organizational waste or customer "pain points" in their supply chains. During the three-day course, they will develop a plan for addressing the problem as soon as they return to work.
The fee for the program is $1,995. For more information, visit www.leancor.com.
