Just as the entertainment world has its Oscars and Emmys, the business world has its Stevies. More formally known as the American Business Awards, the "Stevies" (whose name comes from "stephanos," the Greek word for crowned) honor great performances in the workplace. One of this year's finalists is a name familiar to DC VELOCITY's readers: LXE. The company, which develops rugged wireless computers and radio-frequency data-collection networks, was named a finalist in the Best Customer Service Organization category at the annual awards competition.
"LXE is proud to have achieved finalist status in the 2005 American Business Awards competition. This is a significant achievement and a reflection of our total commitment to world-class customer service," says Ron Argo, LXE Inc.'s manager of technical services.
Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in February through April.
