Overdimensional transportation specialists the Project Professionals Group is launching a new format for its industry-wide Certificate in Project Cargo Forwarding at Breakbulk Americas in Houston from 17-18 October.
More than 450 project forwarders and associated multi-modal transportation workers from around the world have graduated from the course since its launch in 2009.
Course co-ordinator and general manager of the Project Professionals Group, Kevin Stephens, said a review of the course had been undertaken in consultation with the Breakbulk education program and industry representatives.
He said the new format for the ISO accredited training would be delivered over one-and-a-half days to provide attendees with the opportunity to visit the Breakbulk exhibition hall in the afternoon.
"The course modules will be delivered over one-and-a-half-days, beginning the day before the exhibition hall program starts, rather than a full two days, to support businesses wishing to register for the training but are not able to have employees away for more than two days," Mr Stephens said.
"Compressing the course content meets the needs of industry attendees who will be able to maximise their time combining a professional development course and the industry networking opportunities during the afternoon on the first day of the Breakbulk Americas exhibition program.
