Sick, a manufacturer of sensors, safety systems, and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, has introduced its IDM140 handheld scanner. The IDM140 is a high-performance lightweight scanner that reads all common 1D bar codes. The manufacturer describes the unit as an easy-to-use, ergonomically designed scanner for everyday use within the warehouse as well as in other logistics applications.
The IDM140 reliably reads poorly printed or damaged codes, eliminating the need to manually input data. Plus, the IDM140 supports multiple interfaces, including USB, PS/2, and RS232 TTL, within a single scanner.
