UniCarriers Americas Promotes Dealer Training & National Forklift Safety Day.

Sponsored by:

From the halls of the U.S. Capitol to individual dealerships, UniCarriers Americas (UCA) will actively participate in National Forklift Safety Day on June 13.

In Washington DC, UCA executives will convene with legislators, industry leaders, media, government officials and other members of the Industrial Truck Association to discuss safety matters and implementation of best practices.

Locally, UCA dealers across North America are building awareness of forklift safety by reaching out to local media and communicating the value of proper machine maintenance and operator training to customers. UCA factory-owned locations – New England Industrial Truck and Capital Equipment and Handling — are offering free operator training courses to advance forklift safety.

"Forklift safety is always at the forefront of everything we do at UniCarriers," says James J. Radous III, President of UniCarriers Americas, Inc. and chair of last year's event. "From the design and reliable operation of the forklifts we manufacture to the support and training provided through our dealers, our focus is to provide UniCarriers customers with the equipment, knowledge and skills to eliminate forklift accidents."

The 2017 event marks the fourth year of National Forklift Safety Day. Its influence continues to grow, reaching an estimated audience of 60 million and driving home the importance of workplace safety throughout the materials handling industry.
