Central Valley Ag, a Nebraska-based company that provides fertilizer, was in need of replacing its 40,000-ton storage facility due to wind and rust damage. To deal with the issue, the company turned to Legacy Building Solutions to construct a new building featuring a fabric design.
In a press release, Central Valley Ag Dan McBride noted the old facility cost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the duration in which it was used. "We repaired the building twice, but we couldn't keep dealing with lost time and product damage."
The new structure built and installed by Legacy is notable for its rigid steel frame and permanent attachment system. Together, these features work to protect against the outside elements, including snow and wind.
The new fertilizer structure is 120 ft wide X 482 feet long and is designed to meet Central Valley Ag's storage needs for 40,000 tons of fertilizer.
