Scott Bethke has rejoined Jervis B. Webb as director of bulk systems sales. Bethke, who holds several patents for conveyor equipment, will be responsible for Webb's bulk material handling business. Ceva Logistics has bought the Nashville distribution center previously operated by Dell Inc. Ceva will use the facility for the final assembly of laptop computers as well as for shipping desktop computers and related items. APL Logistics has entered into a strategic alliance with Japan's Sumitomo Warehouse Co. to jointly market global supply chain solutions. Under the deal, Osaka-based Sumitomo will offer its warehousing and logistics services in Japan to APL Logistics customers. Belgium-based biscuit manufacturer Jules Destrooper has expanded its partnership with CHEP.
