Orbis offers freight-friendly bulk containers

By DC Velocity Staff

Today at ProMat 2011, Orbis Corp., a maker of reusable containers, showcased its line of reusable bulk containers, which the company says are better designed to cube out modern 53-foot trailers than many other brands.

Orbis' BulkPak containers also offer a low tare weight (or the weight of an empty container). As a result, users can increase the amount of product they ship in the container. The containers are durable and safe with low maintenance costs, according to the manufacturer.

Scott Krebs, bulk category manager for Orbis, said the container is designed so that individual stringers can be replaced rather than an entire base when the container is damaged by a forklift. This helps reduce maintenance costs.
