Intelligrated, a provider of comprehensive automated material handling solutions, debuted two software products at Modex 2016. The first, known as the Intelligrated Reliability Intelligence Solution (IRIS), is computerized maintenance management software that comes with implementation and maintenance support. IRIS collects and analyzes data to help plan and execute preventive lifecycle maintenance; it can produce work orders and daily maintenance schedules, and can automatically place orders for replacement parts, among other features. The second, called the Momentum WES platform, plays a central coordination role for multiple software modules and interfaces. It provides the necessary speed and flexibility to manage complex e-commerce and omnichannel fulfillment operations by making automated decisions and responding to changing demands in real time. Its "configure to need" architecture eliminates the need for costly reconfiguration, said Kevin Roach, executive vice president and general manager, Intelligrated Software.
In a brief overview, CEO Chris Cole ran down the company's accomplishments in 2015 and outlook for 2016. Intelligrated beat its "aggressive" 2015 sales goals by more than 2 percent, and has set a goal of booking at least $1 billion worth of business in 2016, he said. The company hired over 1,000 new employees last year and expects to hire an additional 300 this year; China will be a strong market, and some of the new hires will be in that country. Cole also said that Intelligrated plans to spend "record amounts" on research and development in 2016.
