Distributed drives from Siemens improve equipment safety

By DC Velocity Staff

Siemens Industry has released a line of machine-mounted distributed drives named Sinamics. The drives have embedded intelligence to provide safety functionality. The drives will either stop or slow a machine if necessary for safety. The drives, which uses an interface called "Starter," come equipped with a graphic user interface to program them.
