Interroll offers zero-pressure accumulation for soft goods
By DC Velocity Staff
Interroll, a Swiss-based manufacturer of material handling products, has introduced an extension of its Intelliveyor Zero Pressure Accumulation Roller Conveyor that allows even soft goods to be conveyed in a zero-pressure accumulation system.
The new product adds a belt to the Intelliveyor system, which allows it to convey items that in the past were suited for conveying in zero-pressure accumulation roller systems. For example, the Intelliveyor can now convey products with soft or uneven bases, small items, and pharmaceuticals, Interroll said.
The company says that tests show the belt conveyor consumes 37 percent less electricity compared to traditional conveying systems.
