Material handling systems integrator Vargo is opening a sixth office, in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason, Ohio, the company said today.
Slated to open next month, the location will expand Vargo's ability to attract and retain talent in southwestern Ohio and capitalize on new business opportunities in the region, company leaders said. Vargo's other locations include its Hilliard, Ohio, headquarters; Dublin, Ohio, technology center; and offices in Austin, Texas, Berkely, Calif., and the Grand Rapids, Mich area.
The Mason office will be located in Governor's Pointe Office Park, the company said.
Vargo also announced changes to its executive team. Bart Cera, who joined the company in 2006, was promoted to president and will retain his chief operating officer title, company leaders said. Before joining Vargo, Cera was senior vice president, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer at Emerald Bank.
The firm also hired accountant Gary Condit as its chief financial officer. Condit, who has worked as a CPA for nearly 40 years, previously worked with Vargo as a consultant and most recently worked as director of assurance services at GBQ Partners LLC, from 2011 to 2019. Other personnel changes include the hiring of 11 new staff members recently, company leaders said.
"The addition of the Mason office space and the increase of our staff provides more project engineering bandwidth to support current company growth," Cera said in a statement announcing the changes. "It also enables us to position ourselves to continue adding engineering talent and supporting new business activities."
