Continuing its mission of working toward making sustainable packaging for a healthier planet, Packsize unveiled its X7 fully automated, high-throughput inline packaging system at ProMat. The X7 is designed to speed up corrugated box production and reduce reliance on packaging labor.
Hanko Kiessner, CEO of Packsize, noted that the X7 has the capability to make, pack, and ship a right-sized box in just three seconds, using 26 percent less corrugated material and 100 percent less filler material. The system uses glue technology to seal the boxes, requiring zero packing tape and less glue, which allows consumers to pop the box top open easily.
The X7 integrates seamlessly with the company's PackNet production and optimization software. "There's no more excuse for anyone in the world to ship an item without a right-sized box," Kiessner says.
