Infosys opens facility to expand shipping and logistics research
French center will service container shipping giant CMA CGM.
Technology and consulting provider Infosys Ltd. said Tuesday it has opened a facility in France to deliver on its seven-year partnership with Marseilles-based container shipping organization CMA CGM Group and to expand Infosys' footprint in the shipping and logistics industry.
Bangalore, India-based Infosys opened a Digital Center of Excellence, also located in Marseille, France, as part of its 2017 commitment to simplify and transform CMA CGM's information technology (IT) applications and improve customer service experiences, the company said.
With an initial capacity of 60 employees, the center is designed to attract and train talent in new digital technologies to meet increasing demand from clients, with a focus on design and user experience, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data and analytics, the firm said. The center will also house technology-driven showcases such as the digital farm, the future of learning, and retail and warehouse experiences.
