Dematic to open sequencing and distribution center in North Texas
Facility replaces smaller operation, answers growing demand for automated material handling solutions, Dematic says.
Material handling systems integrator Dematic said it will open a new sequencing and distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, to accommodate growing customer demand for automated technology solutions for e-commerce and omnichannel order fulfillment applications. The center will replace an existing smaller Dematic distribution operation and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2019.
The new sequencing and distribution center will store, sequence and ship Dematic material handling equipment, modules and components, particularly conveyors, sorters, workstations, controls and robotic shuttles, the company said.
