Gorbel to open crane manufacturing facility in Arizona this month
Site will bring production of ergonomic lifting and safety solutions closer to western U.S. market, firm says.
Material handling equipment manufacturer Gorbel Inc. said Friday it will open a crane manufacturing facility this month in Arizona to increase its presence in the western region of the U.S.
Victor, N.Y.-based Gorbel currently has manufacturing locations in New York, Alabama, and China, plus a sales office in Michigan, the company said.
Adding the location in Goodyear, Ariz., will allow the firm to bring production of its ergonomic lifting and safety solutions closer to end users, Gorbel President and CEO Brian Reh said in a statement.
Gorbel plans to formally open the western facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 24 and launch production soon after, the firm said in a blog post.
