Lineage Logistics acquires Dutch cold storage firm

Partner acquisition expands Lineage operations beyond U.S.

By DC Velocity Staff

Lineage Logistics LLC, a warehousing company in the temperature-controlled logistics space, said today it has acquired Partner Logistics, a Dutch cold storage warehouse automation concern, for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction expands Novi, Mich.-based Lineage's operations beyond the U.S.

Partner operates six temperature-controlled warehouses in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.K., with 101 million cubic feet of capacity. Its network can accommodate more than 500,000 pallets.

Founded in 2008, Lineage has facilities in more than 100 U.S. locations and controls 609 million cubic feet of temperature-controlled capacity. Earlier this year, Lineage said it would build an automated cold storage facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, its first such facility in the U.S. Lineage said it will leverage Partner's capabilities to expand its automated cold storage network in the U.S. and Europe.

Lineage is backed by investment firm Bay Grove LLC.
