10-4 Systems links load-tracking solution to trucking line
Wisconsin-based Paper Transport gains real-time shipment data.
Shipment tracking software provider 10-4 Systems Inc. will team up with trucking company Paper Transport Inc. in a partnership that could provide clients with improved supply chain visibility technology, 10-4 said Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boulder, Colo.-based 10-4 provides real-time supply chain visibility that provides shippers and carriers with access to automated alerts for shipments running early, on time, in jeopardy, or late. By integrating that technology with carrier data from Paper Transport, the companies can share real-time shipment visibility and delivery windows for planning purposes.
For Paper Transport, a Green Bay, Wis., trucking firm with 530 trucks and 1,900 trailers, that information provides a powerful customer service tool that can be shared via mobile, web, and desktop notifications, the company said.
"Meeting with our shippers, I heard one need repeatedly: our customer service team needs better information to share," Paper Transport's vice president for business development, Joe Shefchik, said in a release. "For us, the partnership with 10-4 is the step to answer this customer request."
10-4 grew rapidly in 2016, announcing integrations with transportation management system (TMS) platforms from Oracle Corp. in December and McLeod Software Corp. in October. 10-4 spun off from parent company GlobalTranz Enterprises Inc. in June after landing nearly $14 million in venture funding.
