10-4 Systems integrates with Oracle TMS
Oracle users gain improved onboarding and shipment data access.
Logistics software startup 10-4 Systems Inc. has integrated with Oracle Corp.'s Oracle Transportation Management in a move that could make it easier for Oracle users to conduct onboarding processes and access shipment data, 10-4 said Tuesday.
Boulder, Colo.-based 10-4 provides real-time supply chain visibility that provides shippers and carriers access to automated alerts for shipments running early, on time, in jeopardy, or late.
Oracle's transportation management system (TMS) supports both shippers and logistics service providers (LSPs) by managing transportation activity throughout the global supply chain to help reduce freight costs, optimize service levels, and automate processes, the company says. The product includes operational planning, transportation intelligence, fleet management, freight payment and billing, carrier sourcing, and visibility.
"We can now easily integrate Oracle users through 10-4 seamlessly," 10-4 Systems CEO and President Travis Rhyan said in a release. "Oracle users can now consume real-time shipment and supply chain information as well as share it with anyone in their network. This integration allows for a plug-and-play solution, increased efficiency, and a better customer service experience for our mutual customers."
Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle has been building a portfolio of supply chain management solutions, complimenting its TMS and global trade management (GTM) platforms with a warehouse management (WMS) product when it acquired LogFire Inc. in September.
The announcement is the latest expansion for 10-4 since it integrated its load-tracking software with TMS vendor McLeod Software Corp. in October. Often described as a member of the tumultuous "Uber for trucking" sector, 10-4 Systems has been growing quickly since it landed $13.9 million in funding and spun off from parent company GlobalTranz Enterprises Inc. in June.
