UPS Inc. said yesterday it has leased two buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex that will be modified into package distribution facilities in time for the upcoming holiday peak parcel-shipping season.
The two buildings combined will provide Atlanta-based UPS with 710,000 square feet of space. One building, 495,000 square feet in size, is located in the Alliance Airport industrial tract in Fort Worth. The other, 215,000 square feet, is located in McKinney, about 30 miles north of Dallas.
UPS said the new operations will create 670 full-time and part-time jobs. The modifications should be completed by November, UPS said.
UPS now operates eight buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
